Welcome to St Peter’s Church in the lovely village of Hurstbourne Tarrant in the Test Valley. Our church building is steeped in history since it was built at the end of the 12th Century and has its walls are soaked in prayer of over seven hundred years. As the Christian community in the village we love to meet in worship to God, to grow in faith and spirituality and to take the love of Jesus out into the community.
Our services provide a time of reflection as well as worship, singing and prayer. On the first Sunday we have our Family service at 10 am; second Sunday is a said BCP Holy Communion service at 8.30 am; third Sunday is a Sung Eucharist at 10 am with a small choir. On the fourth Sunday we have a Eucharist at 10 am in January, April, July and October. Three times per year we have our Messy Church in the Community Centre.
We believe we have a beautiful church building and have several weddings each year. The benefice choir can sing at weddings and there is a team of bell ringers in the village who can ring the bells at the end of the service. Making your marriage vows in front of God and your family and friends is a day to be remembered. Please see our ‘Getting Married’ page for more details.
